Which size system should I choose?
We assess electricity use, roof space, shading and future plans. Capacity alone does not show how well a system fits your property.
Can I add a battery to existing solar PV?
It may be possible. Send inverter details and information about the existing installation so we can check the practical options.
Can a battery work without new solar panels?
Tell us your current setup and what you want to achieve. We can assess storage options against your electrical installation, usage and tariff.
Will a battery work in a power cut?
Only where compatible backup equipment and an appropriate installation design are included. Tell us which circuits you want to supply.
Can you integrate EV charging?
Jelvis installs EV charging and assesses the electrical supply, charger location and compatibility with any existing solar PV or battery equipment.
Do you maintain existing solar PV systems?
We offer fault finding, maintenance and assessments of monitoring problems, inverter changes and battery additions.
How much will it cost?
The quote depends on the equipment and work required at your property. Roof access, scaffolding, cable routes, electrical upgrades and backup requirements can change the cost.
How long does installation take?
The programme depends on the system, access, scaffolding and any approvals required. We agree the work arrangements with you after reviewing the scope.
Do I need planning or grid approval?
Requirements depend on the property and proposed installation. We identify applicable planning and grid-connection requirements during assessment rather than promise approval before the site is reviewed.
Can I receive export payments?
Eligibility, metering requirements and payment rates depend on the relevant scheme and supplier. Review Ofgem’s current Smart Export Guarantee guidance and the supplier’s terms.
What warranties are included?
Workmanship and equipment manufacturer warranties are separate. The terms are set out in your quotation, contract and equipment documents.
Do you offer finance?
We have not listed a Jelvis finance product on this site. Ask us about the project cost and confirm any external funding directly with the provider. We do not promise eligibility or approval.
Can I visit the showroom?
Yes, by arrangement at Chalcroft Nurseries in Bognor Regis. Call or message before travelling because we may be out on installations and surveys.
